Richard trained at the Young Vic and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Between 2018 and 2025 he was International Associate Director of the Olivier Award-winning Back To The Future The Musical. In 2024 he opened the Tony Award-winning MJ The Musical in the West End as UK Associate Director. He is a recipient of the Sir Paul McCartney Human Spirit Award.
